I’ve been thinking a lot about dating lately. As in, dating again. As I mentioned last week, I miss dating. And now that I’ve moved and I’m starting to feel better, I’m starting to get myself ready to get back into the game. For me, that means exercising, so that I can feel better about myself and taking new online dating profile pics.
My old profile pics are from January. And that, according to my way of thinking is just too damn old. I’ve gained a few pounds since then and my hair is a little shorter. And I know from experience that having accurate and attractive online dating pictures is pretty much the most important part of the online dating game.
Yep, more important that anything you write. More important that a witty headline or a well-written profile. Because, and here’s the plain-old, honest truth: if you have lousy pictures, no one is going to read your profile.
Now, a long time ago I told the story of the very first pics I used for online dating. They were semi-professional pics (read = taken by a wanna be fashion photographer who was making his living doing something else). We did a full photo shoot with several outfit changes, etc. I’ll forever be indebted to him and to those pics and for teaching me how to look at a camera properly and smile without looking like a demented clown.
Not everyone knows an aspiring fashion photographer who’s willing to trade a Sunday afternoon photoshoot for a fancy lunch out. Luckily, there’s a great (and inexpensive) alternative, available nationally. Dating Headshots provides high quality profile pics that really look like you.
I’m kinda excited. For the first time (I think it’s the first time?) I’m able to offer my readers a special discount. Dating Headshots is going to give the readers of this site 10% off Silver and Gold photo shoots. Just mention discount code 164337.
