Real stories about dating and relationships in New York City. Truth is more interesting than fiction.

Last week I got together with a couple of , LuckyGirl and JackfromBrooklyn, and since we all happen to be dating/relationship bloggers we talked a bit about relationship stuff.  One of the really smart things that came up in that conversation was that it was important to know and be able to tell the difference between charisma and . I will admit, right now, to not always being able to tell the difference.  To being taken in by guys with oodles of charisma and not realizing til months down the road that there was no character to back that up.  It’s something I’m working on.

Anyway, I was just reminded of this conversation by the very smart Cereal Daters, and just felt like sharing.

  3. You’re not alone. Charismatic character lacking guys are a dime a dozen. But in the end their true colors always show.

“Many have charisma, and lack character. Those with character may lack charisma, but they know how to keep you around :P

I got inspired to write that one out heheh In such a dog-eat-dog world, the majority of us ooze & schmooze charisma like no tomorrow but at some point, once you get to really learn about the person – it may be disappointing to find that they absolutely lack any character of their own as they have been too busy creating various characters of themselves taken from others.
