Monday, Monday

I’m feeling much better today.  Much better.

I’m going to need to take it pretty easy, at least for the first part of the day, as I get back into the swing of things.  Thank you everyone for your warm wishes here, on Twitter and via email.  I’m sorry about all of the unreturned messages. It’s going to take me a day or two to catch up.

Speaking of catching up, I figured it would be smart to draw your attention to a couple of things I’ve written lately (things I’m pretty damn proud of) that have been published in other places.

If you have a couple of minutes you should check out:

Oooh, and has everyone seen the hot new invites for Cupcakes and Cupid?

First off, glad you’re feeling better.

I hate the line, “you’re too picky”, basically it’s telling you to lower your standards and settle. Things that bother you now will still find a way to bother you in 5,10, or even 20 years (if it last that long). BTW- great article.

I love the invites for Cupcakes & Cupid and I am jealous I can’t attend.

Great article on compromises, so many people want to be right but sometimes it’s critical to compromise it will save some heartache and a lots of stress. I was dating a man that never wanted to compromise it was always his way – he always wanted to do things he wanted to do, eat at the same time (b/c that is what he would always do and would b*tch and moan and have a fit if we didn’t eat at the same time he had dinner every day), he only wanted to hang out with his friends and do the things he was comfortable with while having a SO. Life was too short to fit into that mode and I bounced and fled the scene.

Still upset that I can’t go to Cupcakes & Cupid, but such is life. :(

Glad you are on the mend. You keep taking it easy and don’t start up on stuff a moment earlier than you have to.

Thanks. I’m pretty damn comfortable in my pickiness. And you’re right. Things that bother us now with bother us more over time. I have a friend who’s been married for 10 years and she and her husband have been discussing divorce. And everything she “hates” about him are things that she’s known since day one.
Thanks sweetie. Looks like things are going well for you, so…

Thanks. I’m trying to go easy today. It’s hard as there is just so much that needs to be done.
