Looking Forward
I got the nicest email from The European today. He’s still away, in Europe, enjoying his trip. But he took the time to write and tell me a little bit about what he’s been up to and to tell me that he’s looking forward to seeing me again. He’s back this weekend, I think, and so we’ll be getting together again one day next week.
I’ve also heard from Coach, a couple of times. He’s sent me texts (yeah, texts – for when you care enough to make the least amount of effort). Just checking in. He asked me “out” (mind you, no specific plan was mentioned) for tonight, but I’m still out of town. I suggested we get together later in the week, and so we’ll see if that actually happens. As much potential as I think the guy has, I’m pretty much over him. I’ll go out with him again, just because I had fun on the first date. But he’s going to have to make an effort to change my current impression of him as a kinda clueless mamma’s boy.
And then there is the guy I was supposed to have a first date with a couple of weeks ago. He botched the planning of that first date, but not so badly that I lost interest. He got in touch with me last week and asked me out again for this week. This time with concrete plans. So I’m seeing him on Wednesday night.
So while this past week has been kind of trying, I’m looking forward to the next week or so.
