The Flowers Were Lovely
I had a date today with a guy I met on Plenty of Fish. I’m supposed to be on a break from dating but it was an offer I couldn’t resist. He invited me to go with him to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens (I’m not into orchids, but the show is kind of a big deal). I’d read about the show in years past but never been. It seemed like such a great idea for a date so I figured, what the hell.
The flowers were lovely.
The date was meh. I wanted to like him. I felt I should like him. We had tons in common. Tons. But we just had no chemistry. If there was such a thing as negative chemistry, we would’ve had negative chemsitry.
But that’s OK. Really. So, he’s not a good match for me. It was a pleasant enough day and I saw some pretty flowers. And maybe now I’ll resume my break. Or at least wait until the next offer I can’t resist.

The flowers are totally gorgeous. If I had to do single, I would rather do it in your city–so many more wonderful places to go. Did you by any chance notice any attractive men at the show?

Well, at least the show was good. I so want to go see it, but I think I’ll skip the date and just go with a friend ; )
