No, I’m Not Kidding

It’s Friday night and I’m home alone.  No date.  In fact, I don’t have any dates planned for the whole weekend.

That’s right.  You read correctly.  No dates for the whole weekend.

Now, to be completely open, I did have plans with The GrownUp, but he needed to cancel/ (He has a 17 yr old son who suddently wanted to come spend the weekend with him. Now that his son is older he visits when he wants to.)  I say cancel/ because we don’t have a concrete date/plan for when we will get together.  For all I know he’s going to blow me off.  I don’t think so, but it’s entirely possible.

There’s another prospect I’ve been exchanging emails with and he asked me out but I put him off til next week.  Honestly, I’m just kind of tired and am looking forward to the downtime.  Maybe I’ll do something last minute with a friend, although most of my friends have written me off for weekend nights.  They know the deal.  I’m in heavy mode.

But not tonight.  And not tomorrow night.  Not all weekend.  I might actually finish that book that’s been on my bedside table for the last few weeks.

I don’t go on dates on weekends on purpose. Weekends are my time. I party my ass off and meet guys to take me out during the week.

Thank you so much for that comment. I used to do the same thing (I don’t anymore because of time constraints) but I have got to write a post about this.
