So Now That I’m Feeling Better – A Quick Dating Update
I’m feeling better and I’ve brightened my mood with some happy music. Time to start looking ahead to the rest of this week. I have dates scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thursday is a second date with the bad dater. Yeah, I know, I should give him a real nickname. I’m holding off until Thursday night, which I feel really bad about. He has sent me a couple of really sweet emails since our first date. He gets an A for effort, for sure. That’s just not enough. He’ll get a real nickname when I learn enough about him to know whether or not I’m interested in kissing him.
Friday night is a second date with the freelancer. I’m looking forward to it. We seem to click in that weird way that I rarely click with guys (For example, the night before our date he had gone to this very random-not most people’s cup of tea- event in the city. I’d been interested in attending but had a date…).
And finally, Saturday night is a first date with a new guy. He’s not really new. He’s been chasing after me online for at least a year. Each time I reactivate my online account he’s the first guy I hear from. I’ve always been responsive, to a point. The reason we never met before is that he lives and works about an hour outside of NYC and well, for me, that’s a big issue. I know that might seem irrational to readers outside of Manhattan, but you need to understand. We NYers, we don’t drive (most of us). I’ve tried to have relationships with people who lived and worked in the burbs before and it was really hard.
Anyway, I’ve decided to go for it and meet him for a drink. I won’t mind riding the train to visit him if he’s a wonderful guy.

-lisaq, thanks. Look for updates SOON.
-sophie, So happy to have you as a reader. I look forward to more comments from you in the future.
I know what you mean about not wanting to travel too far outside of the city.
I’m writing a guest article for another blogger about LDR’s (long distant relationships) and why I’m not up for them; like 10 thousand miles worth lol
Anyway, good luck this week
