I think the biggest and most hurtful lie I’ve been told by a love interest was “Everything’s fine.”
Ouch. I remember hearing that a couple of times. Yeah, that one hurts a lot.
Yeah, that one sucks.
I also got, “I guess I slept through the 27 TIMES you called my hotel room”, “Your friends are lying – I didn’t bring another girl to THEIR bands show”, and “Your buddy was mistaken – I wasn’t holding her hand, unless it was when she tripped and I helped her up off the ground”.
…those were all from the same guy though. The whole relationship was pretty much a big fat lie.
I once had a guy talk to two different women on the phone in my house. The first invited him to a party…which he accepted though he was supposed to be staying with me for the weekend. The second was an obvious lover’s quarrel. Both of them were talking loudly enough that I could hear the conversation. Sure enough, a few hours later he stepped outside to get a smoke. When he came back in, it was with a weak ass work related excuse about why he had to leave. That was the end of a year long on again, off again mess. Took those 2 phone calls IN MY HOME for me to finally break it off.
I lost my phone.
